To avoid any possible confusion, we may transfer and disclose Non-personal Information to third parties at our sole discretion.

Cookies and similar technologies

When you visit or access our Service, we allow certain third parties to use web beacons, cookies, pixel tags, scripts, tags, and other analytics technologies (“Tracking Technologies”). These Tracking Technologies may allow third parties to collect information about you automatically in order to improve the way you navigate our Digital Properties, enhance their performance, personalize your experience, and for security and fraud prevention purposes.

For more information, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

Through our Service and Digital Properties (including websites and apps deploying our Service), we may provide advertisements that may be tailored to you, such as ads based on your recent browsing behavior across different websites, browsers, or devices.

To provide you with such ads, we may use cookies and/or JavaScript and/or web beacons (including clear GIFs) and/or HTML5 local storage and/or other technologies. We may also use third-party advertising networks that display ads based on your visits to websites. These advertisers, sponsors, and/or traffic measurement services may use cookies, JavaScript, web beacons, Flash LSO, or other technologies to assess ad effectiveness and personalize content. These cookies and technologies are governed by the third parties’ own privacy policies, not ours.

Where is the information stored?

Non-personal Information
Please note that we, as well as our trusted partners and service providers, are located around the world. All Non-personal Information we collect is stored and processed in various jurisdictions worldwide, for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information
Personal Information may be maintained, processed, and stored in the United States, Ireland, Japan, Israel, and other jurisdictions as necessary for the proper delivery of our Services and/or if required by law (as further explained below).

How long is the information retained?

We retain the information we collect for as long as necessary to provide our Services and fulfill our legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

We may rectify, complete, or remove incomplete or inaccurate information at any time and at our sole discretion.

How Wix protects the information?

The hosting service for our Digital Properties provides us with the online platform that enables us to offer you the Service. Your data may be stored through data storage applications, databases, or general applications of our hosting provider. It stores your information on secure servers behind a firewall and provides secure HTTPS access to most of its services.

Online payment information

All direct payment gateways offered by our Digital Properties’ hosting provider and used by us comply with PCI-DSS standards as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers, including physical, electronic, and procedural measures.

Despite our efforts and those of our hosting provider, we cannot guarantee, and do not guarantee, the absolute protection and security of the information you upload, publish, or share with us or others.

We encourage you to set strong passwords and avoid disclosing any sensitive information to us or to others that you believe could cause substantial or irreparable harm if disclosed. Furthermore, emails and instant messages are not considered secure communication channels, so we ask and encourage you not to share sensitive information via these methods.

Minors

Children may use our Services, but to access certain features, they may be required to provide certain information. Some information, including that collected via cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies, may be collected automatically. If we knowingly collect, use, or disclose information from a child, we will notify their parent and seek their consent in accordance with applicable law. We do not condition a child’s participation in an activity on providing more information than is reasonably necessary for that activity. We use the information we collect based on the Services requested by the child.

We may also use a parent’s contact information to communicate with them about their child’s activities on the Services. Parents can review, update, or delete their child’s information, refuse to allow further collection, and request deletion of any information we have collected.

To do so, please contact us. To protect your child, we may request proof of identity. We may deny access if we suspect identity uncertainty. Some information may not be deleted due to legal obligations.

Use of your Personal Information

In providing Services to our users, we may transfer information to affiliated entities or third parties across borders, including to jurisdictions outside the EEA. By using the Services, you consent to such transfers.

If you are located in the EEA, your Personal Information will only be transferred to locations outside the EEA where an adequate or comparable level of protection is in place. We will take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate contractual safeguards are in place, so that the risk of illegal use, alteration, deletion, loss, or theft of your Personal Information is minimized, and that third parties always act in compliance with applicable laws.

Your access and deletion rights

In accordance with applicable GDPR laws, you have the following rights regarding your Personal Information:

  • Right of access: know what data an organization holds about you
